Garry Shelton Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Heather and I'm raising money to assist with my Dad's funeral expenses.

Garry Shelton was very active in ancestry communities on FB and genealogy websites. I'm amazed at how many lives he touched. My brother and I are very thankful to have so many kin expressing sympathy and love. He worked to keep the deep roots and far-reaching branches of our family tree strong. He was passionate about ancestry and genealogy for as long as I can remember. Even way before online research, he kept a notebook full of names, dates, and anecdotes... He was a walking ancestry website before the internet! He helped so many people with their own ancestry journey and to guided them to discover their family's history.

Unfortunately, he passed without having a will or life insurance of any kind. I was asked if there was anything the family needed, and the only things that came to mind was helping my brother be able to attend a memorial service, and to give my dad a proper final resting place.

Any amount is greatly appreciated - even a few bucks will help cover cremation costs or help my brother be able to attend a memorial service.
