Garen’s Post Kidney Transplant Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Our son Garen was born 6 weeks early with end stage kidney disease. He was transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital, where he has been on peritoneal dialysis since he was 4 months old.
Garen is on 12 different medications, he has thyroid disease, Wolf Parkinson White syndrome, a rare heart condition.
Garen also receives his feeds through a g-tube. He‘s dependent on an oxygen tank to keep his blood oxygen saturation steady. He also receives physical, occupational and speech therapy.
It’s been a long and a difficult journey for both Garen and us. One year ago our search for a kidney donor began. Once he gets his transplant, he will be on immunosuppressive medications for life and he will need at least another transplant later on.
We live in Rhode Island, however, we commute to Boston twice a month to bring Garen to Children’s Hospital.
We welcome your support and would appreciate if you share this with others.
Thank you and God bless you.
