I have been working on this Gabriela & La Buena Onda Latin fusion album since 2015. Up until now, it has been self-funded, and a true labor of love working with some of San Diego's finest musicians & humans.

*** PEQUEñO HISTORY ***

In 2014, I met Alan Sanderson, Grammy winning producer/engineer at Pacific Beat Recording, in Pacific Beach, CA. We immediately clicked (he loved my S. American hybrid style) and started working together. One take and 10 songs later, we kept 5, and created the Live at Pacifc Beat demo some of you have today.

I knew then I wanted to record my full length album with him. I also knew it would be an expensive endeavor because of his pedigree (he's worked with Fleetwood Mac, Greenday, Elton John, Fiona Apple... just to name a few)!

We completed the FIRST SINGLE, You Captivate Me, with James East (of the Nathan East lineage) on bass, Israel Maldonado (Agua Dulce/OnSurfari Show) on lead guitar/bckgd vocals, and Kimo Shim (opened for Air Supply & Ben Harper) on cajon/percussion.

Mixing 8 songs: $2500

Mastering 9 songs: $1350

The remainder will go towards the duplication of the CD’s, if we stay within the time budgeted for mixing.  Anything raised above and beyond my goal will go towards the remainder of CD duplication and marketing the CD release party.
