At Greater Trinity Academy, we believe in leveling the playing field in education and providing all children with an equal learning opportunity by setting them up for success in the classroom.
Our mission and purpose is to eliminate the achievement gap by providing a high quality, innovative, academic experience stimulating a child’s enthusiasm for learning throughout their educational career and beyond, and equip children to be students ready to lead, and eventually become productive and informed members of society. OUR PROJECT:
We focus on teaching our students to strive for achievement and set them up for success in the public school system. We are raising money for the STEM program at our school. Many of our students come from a variety of backgrounds; single-parent families and even homeless students. Many of our students have never worked with or been exposed to technology. By us bringing technology into the classroom, we are setting our students up for success in today’s tech-savvy world. We want to provide our students with the same, if not better, learning opportunities as other students nationwide.
Throughout a student’s time a Greater Trinity, they will learn how to operate a computer, take online tests through the computer for writing and math as well as continue to develop the STEM skills that will be so incredibly important as they continue in their education We will use this money to purchase 5 new Smart Boards for our classrooms, 20 new computers to replace current computers that are outdated and provide new classroom computer and 30 tablets to accommodate our individual learning objectives.
Although many of our students come from unique and diverse backgrounds, we accept and strive for diversity and presenting equal learning opportunities for all of our students. These students will be America’s future doctors, engineers, teachers and leaders. At Greater Trinity Academy, we set our students up for success in the public school system so they can achieve their dreams and make a difference in the world.
The video above shows the story of Kye. An enthusiastic – ready-to-learn, six year-old, who was inspired after attending Greater Trinity Academy. Before coming to Greater Trinity, Kye was behind in school. After just one-year at Greater Trinity, he was ahead of his grade level and excelling in all subjects. Kye is now thriving in the public school system. He loves going to school to learn; his favorite subject is reading.
