Our Story
Family and Friends,
A dear friend, Kyle Greaver, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in December of 2013 at the young age of 22. Ewing's Sarcoma is an aggressive, primary bone cancer that affects mainly children and young adults and can occur at any time during childhood and young adulthood.
Kyle has been treated by amazing medical and professional teams at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center and Namaste Health Center. His journey has taken him through radiation, chemotherapy, a clinical trial, surgical procedures and alternative cancer treatments such as intravenous mistletoe therapy which is used in Europe to treat cancer. As Kyle continues to receive complementary treatments to conventional medicine, the cost of these treatments and therapies are not covered by health insurance.
Kyle approaches each day and each obstacle thrown at him as a new challenge to overcome. With the continued support of friends and family, as well as organizations such as Believe Big, the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and UMD FIJI, Kyle’s relentless determination to defy the odds remains strong and unwavering.
Funds raised using this page will go directly to Kyle and his family for medical treatments and related expenses. Please join Greaver’s Believers and make a donation today. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
