We are seniors representing our class in the Design School (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. Every year at the end of spring semester the senior class of DAAP puts on a final show; DAAP Works. This show serves as our “last hurrah” where the graduating class has an opportunity to showcase all that we have learned over our five years of design education. The show is open for the entire week before graduation, which this year, is April 27-May 2.
In order to set up all that is needed for the show, the class does quite a bit of fundraising throughout the last semester. Thankfully, in order to save us money, our peers before us have bought and saved a varying amount of things we will be using for the show. But there are still a few items, supplies, and materials we could use your help funding to make this final display of design passion a great success.
Many of the Graphic Communication Design projects will be displayed on digital devices such as mobile phones, iPads, laptops, or monitors, which require specific stands and mounts for viewing. There is also a list of print and environmental materials needed for preparing the show space.
Any help that you are able to give us is greatly appreciated. Please note, any amount given is for the students’ personal expenses for supplies and materials for DAAP Works and will be provided directly to the students. This campaign is not affiliated with the University of Cincinnati or the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
All of us students have worked extremely hard over the course of the past five years to get to this point. Hours of time were dedicated each week, sleep was sacrificed every semester, limits were tested, boundaries were pushed and accomplishments and growth were a result. To us, DAAP Works is a celebration of those accomplishments and growth, and with your generosity, we’d love for you to be a part of that as well. Thank you in advance and we hope to see you at the show. We know you’ll enjoy it!
