Graham Archer's LoveYourBrain Fund
Donation protected
We have created this Go Fund Me in support of Graham Archer, family, friend and adventurer, who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in October of 2015.Graham was born and raised in Darlington Maryland and went to John Carrol High School, and CCBC Essex, before moving to Salt Lake City to play lacrosse for Westminster College. He was forced into the Neuro Critical Care Unit of the University of Utah Hospital after a fall that left him with a fractured skull, brain bleeding, and brain damage. At the time he had just turned 26 and had finished seasonal work with a company that builds climbing walls and is therefore uninsured. He had to spend 8 days in the Neuro Critical Care Unit and another 10 days in Acute Care until the doctors felt he was stable enough to be discharged which took place today, November 17th! His Mother Raine flew out here immediately after hearing about Graham's injury and has been with him everyday since and will continue to be out here with him through the long road of cognitive and behaviroal therapy that will help him get back doing all of the things he loves like rock-climbing, camping, hiking, and snowboarding.
We would like to start the fund raising effort immediately to help him and his family through this incredibly challenging time. By supporting the family finacially to help cover acrued hospital bills, cross country flights, and now therapy, it allows Graham to focus on what is most important, which is healing his brain. This will show Graham our support and let him know that everyone wants to see him get through this injury so he can get back to his life and his future!
Traumatic Brain Injuries are an issue that greatly impacts those who are injured and those around who care about them. This type of injury can change someones life, and prevent them from being able to live life normally as they did before. We can take the example like Graham's experience to realize how fragile and valueable our brains are.
Your donation would mean so much to us becuase we believe that if there is anyone who can take this challenge that life has thrown his way, it is Graham who will be able to turn these lemons into lemonade better than anyone!
