Global Medical Training Trip Fund
Donation protected
Hey everybody! For those of you who may not know me personally, my name is Elysé Stieber and I am a sophomore nursing student at the University of Texas at Austin. I am a member of the Global Medical Training club here at UT, where undergraduates are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on diagnoses and treatments in countries such as the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Panama. With your help, I can fulfill my life long dream of traveling to a third world country to help provide basic medical services to those who do not recieve healthcare on a regular basis. My goal is to attend the Dominican Republic trip from May 21st to the 28th of this year. The trip itself costs $1,205, on top airfare and medical supplies needed to properly administer health care practices, including donating money to purchase medications for our future patients. Words cannot describe how passionate I feel about my future profession, and I am beyond excited to be given the chance to help others who are in need of proper care in a country not as fortunate. My heart is so full with love and compassion towards people, and I cannot wait to embark on this life-changing journey! Every and any donation means the world not only to me, but to all those children and families in dire need of our student-led clinics. If you wish to have further information regarding what GMT accomplishes or just have general questions about our cause, please feel free to visit the website at http://www.gmtlonghorns.org
