Together for Jeffrey and Alexa

​My dear Friends, Classmates, Colleagues, and you, the one I don’t know, but is willing to help.I am reaching out to you, to ask for your assistance so we can help our friend, and classmate Alexa (Maria Alexandra Leo, Mater Salvatoris), and her husband Jeffrey Gootkin, who is fighting Metastatic Lymph Node Cancer.Some of you may not know, but Alexa's husband has been battling cancer for a while.  A couple of years ago his prognosis was promising, he was feeling good, but the cancer came back.  Last year, his health started to deteriorate, he had a few ups, and downs, several treatments, and they were doing everything possible to win the battle, unfortunately, this year his health took a turn to the worse.He is currently at home, his prognosis is not the best, his oncologist, and doctors are doing the best to keep him pain free, he is basically in "home hospice".Our friend Alexa has not left his side. She is devastated, to see her dear husband vanish in front of her eyes. On top of the emotional distress this situation carries, the exhaustion, and uncertainty, she was laid off because of the pandemic, and they have endless medical bills pilling up. We are trying to provide a bit of assistance, and respite so that at least one part of this devastating situation weighs less on them.Our plea to you, is for whatever you can donate, every dollar counts, no donation is too small.  Thank you in advance for your generosity. On their behalf THANK YOU, and GOD BLESS YOUR HEART!!ESPANOLMis queridos amigos, Chicas del Mater Salvatoris, colegas y ti, a quien no conozco, pero que estás dispuesto a ayudar. Me comunico con ustedes para pedirles una ayuda para nuestra  amiga y compañera de clase Alexa (Maria Alexandra Leo, Mater Salvatoris) y su esposo Jeffrey Gootkin, quien está luchando contra un cáncer de ganglio linfático  metastático. Posiblemente algunos de ustedes no lo sepan, pero el esposo de Alexa ha estado luchando contra el cáncer durante un tiempo. Hace un par de años su prognosis era prometedora, se sentía bien, pero el cáncer volvió. El año pasado su salud comenzó a deteriorarse, tuvo algunos altibajos, varios tratamientos, estaban haciendo todo lo posible para ganar la batall, lamentablemente este año, su salud tomó un giro para peor. Actualmente está en casa, su pronóstico es poco prometedor, su oncólogo y los médicos están haciendo todo lo posible para evitar que sienta dolor, básicamente está en un "hospicio domiciliario". Nuestra amiga Alexa no se ha apartado de su lado. Está devastada al ver a su amado marido desaparecer frente a sus ojos. A la angustia emocional que conlleva esta situación, el cansancio y la incertidumbre, se le une el hecho de que ella perdió su trabajo por la pandemia y las interminables facturas médicas. Estamos tratando de brindarles un poco de ayuda para que al menos una parte de esta devastadora situación les pese menos.Les ruego su ayuda, cada dólar cuenta, ninguna donación es demasiado pequeña.Gracias de antemano por su generosidad, en nombre de Jeffrey y Alexa ¡GRACIAS!
