Establish Young Activist Social Equity Scholarship

NMSU's Government Graduate Student Organization is a social organization whose purposes are to promote social interaction within the Government Graduate Department and complete community service. GGSO aims to increase community and University involvement among Government Graduate Students. To these ends, Government Graduate Student Organization members are committed to social equity, and thus seek to promote this in the Aggie community by establishing the Young Activist Social Equity Scholarship. High school students in New Mexico's 2nd congressional district applying to NMSU are eligible for the award and must display evidence of commitment to social justice. They should also intend to shape public policy and promote social equity after they have become an Aggie graduate. Successful candidates should intend to declare a major, minor, or supplementary major in the Government Department.
