GBHO Pocket Park Project (Fairmount Road)
Vision: To Create a Space for Relaxing and Dreaming
Help us build the Fairmount Corner Pocket Park
The Goldens Bridge Hamlet Organization is undertaking the next phases in the rehabilitation of a 1.5 acre site owned by the Town of Lewisboro.
Currently, we are fundraising for additional seating to further improve the area. Please consider donating. If you would like to donate the full amount towards a bench and its dedication ( +/- $600 to $1,000 depending on the size) please email us directly at [email redacted].
The site is located at the corner of Fairmount Road and Route 138 and remains underutilized. Our vision for this site includes establishing a sitting area with a pavilion, removing invasive species from the pond and crafting a pathway through an overgrown meadow. Anticipated expenses include removing portions of a broken foundation, clearing invasive growth and arresting its return, building a strolling path, seeding wildflowers, and effectuating a natural habitat for local wildlife.
The area under development is central to the over 1,600 residents in the hamlet of Goldens Bridge and easily accessed by surrounding neighborhoods. Please contribute to crafting a space for all who crave a place to refocus on the benefits of nature. Help us reach our goal of $18,000 by making a donation.
