In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, our employees are assessing damages to their properties and several have faced catastrophic destruction – some without flood insurance.
We have had an outpouring of concern from customers, vendors, and unaffected employees – both in and out of Texas. Already, employees throughout the company have come together to assist wherever possible, including donations of time, labor, and materials.
However, you can only do so much from afar, and many have asked what they CAN do if they’re not located in the Houston area. We therefore decided to create this GoFundMe page to allow an additional avenue for our colleagues to assist those affected. Monetary donations also remain the most helpful in times like these, and we commit to ensuring that the funds are appropriately distributed to our affected employees – 100% of all funds donated will go directly to them. This account is held by G2-IS’ Finance Department, and distributions will be determined by a committee including HR, Finance, and our CEO based on need.
As with any disaster, we’ll come out stronger than before. The stories shared since Harvey hit show both heart and grit, and we will continue to be inspired by the love that is spread even through tragedy. Rebuilding is going to be a process, so we intend to do our part to ensure our employees – and community – return to “normal” as swiftly as possible.
If you’d like to contribute to the cause by monetary donation, you can do so here! Of course, this is completely voluntary and won’t affect employment or business – we just want to do what we can to help our people.
