Donation protected
I'm sorry to say but my father left us. He fought against all odds and he never gave up. I will be setting up a new go fund me account for funeral costs. I know we're not going to be able make everything right now and I don't want to leave my father with out the proper resting place he deserves. thank you so much everyone. God bless you all. Carl M. Lewandowski 12-13-1956 to 02-19-2019. We are going to need $4000 for the cost of his Funeral. My father Carl M. Lewandowski was diagnosed with AML on May 7th of 2017, I'll never for get this date, it just happens to be my parents wedding anniversary. Adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal myeloblasts (a type of white blood cell), red blood cells, or platelets. Adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. This type of cancer usually gets worse quickly if it is not treated. It is the most common type of acute leukemia in adults. AML is also called acute myelogenous leukemia, acute myeloblastic leukemia, acute granulocytic leukemia, and acute nonlymphocytic leukemia. Dad has always been a fighter. From the very beginning the doctors have been very candid, he was never supposed to survive two weeks from the initial diagnoses. He refused to give up, it was never an option, telling my Mom and his kids (myself and brother) he was going to keep fighting. He kept saying, I'm not ready and I'm not going to die. I've got to much to live for. His birthday is December 13, 1956. He's 62 years old. We were told on February 7, 2019 after almost 2 full years of battling is cancer, instead of two weeks, by Dads Doctor at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, that there was finally no more options. Dad had reached the point where nothing was going to able to be done for Dads leukemia. He has lived far beyond any expectations the doctors ever had. My mother and I have gone on countless trips from Saranac Lake to Boston. We have spent every possible dollar we have had available on air fares, transportation (gas and car repairs), hotel rooms, and food to be able to travel back and forth to be there with my father as much as we possibly could to reach every meeting, appointment, and thanksgiving/christmas. My brother personally lived in my fathers room with him from late September till just after New Years, for dads constant assistance, as Dad fell and broke his leg in five pieces leaving my parents house for the last time on the way to go a doctors appointment in Boston. He's not been able to come home since. Finally we got him back to Saranac Lake this past Tuesday. Now we are very low on extra funds to help with out of pocket costs for Carl's final comfort care. We need money for Medicines his insurance will not cover. We can't take care of Dad for his last possible days without help and support from our friends and family. Please donate to help my Father, he's only going to be with us for a very brief time, and I want it to be the best experience it can be for him, and give us the ability to do it. Thank you all in advance, even if prayers are all you can afford. God bless you all. #LIVEANDLOVE #CarlMLewandowskiCancerComfort #DianePettitLewandowski #KimberlyLewandowskiWatson #KristopherLewandowski
