My name is Crystella, and this is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write.

Right now, my mom is fighting for her life. She has reached a point where her white blood cells are completely depleted, her body is weak, and she hasn’t been herself. Watching her lay in that hospital bed, confused, exhausted, and not making sense when she wakes up… it breaks me in ways I can’t put into words.

At the same time, I’m facing my own medical crisis. I’m scheduled for surgery this Friday to remove my gallbladder, and I haven’t been able to work. With no income coming in, the reality of bills, gas to get to the hospital, taking care of my kids, my home, and everything else is weighing on me more than ever.

Asking for help is not easy for me. I’ve always been the person who pushes through, who finds a way, who doesn’t complain. But this… this is too much for one person to carry alone.
