Assistance with Funeral and other expenses

I am not happy to have to write this but I need to inform everyone of what has occurred. At 7:39 pm Jan 27 my mother passed away. There was nothing more that could be done by the doctors and there was really no more decisions to be made. It hurts, we are in pain, and now have to keep fighting for her. She put up her own fight with the love, prayer, and support from all of you who she loved and cared about and vice versa. But now she doesn't need to fight anymore, she won't have to suffer through all the issues she had and now she can be at peace with her father, her brother and our two cats Kozmo and Legolas. We will always love her and miss her as we try to get through these times. I just want to thank everyone for your support and love in these hard time and for the time going forward as my father and I try to work through this event..

We will miss you mom, from your smile to your laugh. All the rides and places we went. All the traditions we started and the ones we will continue. All the memories we shared and all the ones we should have gotten to share. All the plans we had and all the things you will miss and we will miss not having you with.. we know you will be with us in our hearts and minds but of course its not the same.. We love you with all our hearts and will miss you deeply as it will be hard to go on without you.

We will be sure to get the information out about any arrangements coming forward. Thank you for your time.

My mother is in critical condition in the hospital and has been there since Dec 28, but was also ill for a week before going into the hospital. It has been hitting our family hard as we also relied on her income to help with bills and rent. It has been hard the past few weeks and we are behind on our rent and some bills coming up will soon stack up. Any help would be appreciated in helping my father and I get through this why we pray and hope for my mother to make it out of the hospital.

A little more info about my mothers condition.

She had been feeling sick the week of Christmas, just normal flu like symptoms fatigue, fever but no cough or anything. She went to the hospital the day after Christmas and was told it was simply the cold, not covid related at all, and to just go home and rest. Two days later on the 28 she could hardly get out of her chair her muscles so weak and she began to be delusional and confused talking about things that were not happening and could hardly stay awake for more than 2 minutes. We then brought her to the hospital again where she was moved twice to better hospitals and is finally in the University of Minnesota hospital icu unit. Where she has a bacterial infection in the valves of her heart.

This infection had caused sepsis which caused her body to deteriorate on itself. A few days after being in the hospital she went into atrial fibulation and had to have a procedure to fix that as well as finally be put on a ventilator to help her breathing. We were told she is in stable but still critical condition and that she will need open heart surgery to get the bacteria out of her heart. She will need to have two vales replaced and then they plan to fix the hole in her heart that she has had since birth. The infection not only affects her heart but some parts have broken off and went into her lungs as well as her brain causing mini strokes that we don't know if they have caused any lasting effects or not since we must wait until she has the surgery and is recovering to see any affects.

Lastly her heart surgery was suppose to be this week or the next but as of Friday the 8th she was found to have two aneurysms in her brain that caused them to hold off the surgery for 2 weeks as they don't want them to burst in her brain while they work. Until then its a lot of waiting to hear news which recently haven't been changing or have bad. We have just started hearing some good news that the antibodies are holding the infection down, but until she can get the surgery the infection will continue to cause harm to her heart and other locations it has spread to.

Even after she gets her surgery it will be a long recovery and we don't know when we will see her again or when she will come home. For now prayers and hope are helping us get through this but it is also hard on my father and I here at home with rent and bills as I stated at the beginning we relied on what she got paid as well. If you can donate anything it would be so very much appreciated and put to a good use so we will not have anything else to stress and worry about when we need to focus our energy on praying for my mother.  She has already missed Christmas, New Years and her Birthday on Jan 2nd we don't want her to miss more..

Thank you
