Fundraiser for New Interactive Gallery Experience
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
My name is Zane Fix. I have been a fixture on the art scene for over two decades. My work has been described as a fusion of pop art and Japanese aesthetics to create portraits of 20th-century icons. My work is in art galleries, homes and businesses all over the world and can be viewed on my website. For those that do not know my background, I was trained at Cooper Union School of Architecture. I worked as an apprentice in a woodblock printing shop in Kyoto, Japan. I partnered with Stray Kat Gallery and did a three-week pop-up at the Chelsea Market that led to a permanent location there. We continued our success at MILK Studios building and followed with another location underneath the Highline.
I am planning to create a new gallery experience that will incorporate my work and the talents of emerging artists. The concept of the new experience will be to expand our horizons on a new surface and make the experience multi-dimensional.
I am looking to raise $20,000 for the expenses it will cost to create the new experience and how people engage with art. Currently, I am working with a team on a new format for the duration of the show that will be unveiled on the opening night. The first weekend of the opening of the new location, I will offer a meet and greet with the first 10 people that attend for a Q & A, with each person getting the opportunity to ask a question and pose for a photo op.
