Fundraiser for Amy Rose Khoshbin!

Hello, friends, family, and supporters,

We're here to gather support for Amy Rose Khoshbin, our extraordinary friend who has dedicated her life to art, political activism, and enriching the community around her. Today, we find ourselves in a unique position to give back to someone who has given us so much.

Recently, Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Amy's courage in the face of this unexpected challenge reflects the very spirit of her art and activism: confronting adversity with creativity, determination, and a desire to make the world a better place. Now, we as her community have an opportunity to help alleviate some of the financial stress that accompanies a cancer diagnosis.

The journey through cancer treatment is complex, lengthy and expensive. Medical bills, therapies, holistic treatments, supplements, and unexpected costs add up to a significant financial burden for Amy and her family. At the same time, Amy must pause her artistic practice in order to heal, which means a significant loss of income.

If we gather together, pool our resources, and share widely with our community, we can gather enough funds to offer Amy significant relief. Our goal is to raise $15k.

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer early this fall- it came as a total shock. I’m only just now able to talk about it openly with friends, family, and my community. Since the diagnosis, I had to put my projects and life on hold as I navigated the situation- setting up healthcare in a different state (California) while also figuring out the nuances of combining holistic treatments with western medicine. It's been a lot to manage and process.

As I find my footing in this journey, I’m preparing for the next steps- surgery, recovery, potential chemo or radiation if needed, and a second surgery down the line. It’s hard for me to ask for help, especially at this critical moment in the world when so many other families need support. It’s a confusing time, and what keeps me going is my community- all of you. Your support means everything to me- it fills me with love, gratitude, and hope."
