I am saddened to say that today 11/6/2013 we found out that my husband has a near baseball sized tumor located on the right side of his brain. This is indicated in the picture below by the large circular mass to the left middle portion of this MRI view.
It has been classified as a CPA Acoustic Neuroma. This, from what I am told accounts for anywhere from 2-16% of inter-cranial brain tumors. These are rarely malignant, however untreated can cause severe health issues, even death. (See links Below)
Regretfully we have come to that point. His tumor, although not common, is pushing on his brain and causing him to slowly lose control of his basic motor functions.

My husband is currently going to school to help better out family. We have 2 small children and are currently living off of my income while he goes to school. Needless to say it is not much and we are struggling. With him nearing the end of his schooling, we had high hopes that we would be soon on the home stretch, but over the past few months, his condition has gotten worse. His ability to hear from his right ear is almost gone, and his right eye steadily losing vision. His ability to walk without resembling a drunken man is heartbreaking.

The surgery runs anywhere from $50-$70K not including medications, follow up treatments and missed paychecks. [REVISED] We were able to get the financial aid that we needed to pay for this surgery. Due to extensive recovery time and childcare, It was necessary for me to leave my job. Anything that we are able to receive will go DIRECTLY to monthly expenses until he is well enough and we can continue with our lives where we left off.
Anything and everything is appreciated, whether is be monetary or spiritual.
