UPDATE The response to the campaign continues to be massive. Thank you to everyone sharing and funding the work.
The community proved independent objective AI governance analysis is required. You validated the mission.
Because of this momentum I am refining the platform evolution. I am officially opening the platform to corporate underwriting the NPR model.
I am inviting responsible AI founders risk leaders and compliance officers to purchase underwriting and sponsorship packages to support the show.
To be clear I am not taking quiet vendor money to bend my analysis and I am not selling PR packages. I am building a public transparent stage where responsible AI builders can visibly underwrite independent research for a large community of tech professionals.
The independent research continues. The Failure Files will keep exposing broken systems.
If your company is building responsible AI and wants to reach decision makers in federal and enterprise systems reach out to discuss corporate underwriting.
And if you want to support the core research directly the donation link remains open.

THE SITUATION
For 12 episodes across two seasons I have been building Human Signal. This platform provides clear strategy for professionals navigating AI deployment inside government agencies universities and enterprise systems.
I have created original frameworks like the LEAC Protocol and Noise Discipline. I have interviewed serious leaders including a retired Army CIO a Notre Dame director and federal contractors. I have documented real institutional failures and built tools that organizations use today.
Right now I am running on savings and that money is running out.
I am raising $4000 dollars to fund my immediate survival and core production needs. This money provides the necessary runway to prove this work can become a sustainable income rather than just a side project.
─────────────────────────────────
WHAT I'VE BUILT
Human Signal doesn't cover AI disruption. It dissects the physics of institutional failure and builds frameworks that help you survive it.
ORIGINAL FRAMEWORKS
- The L.E.A.C. Protocol (Lithography, Energy, Arbitrage, Cooling) – A physics-based model for evaluating which AI companies will survive the infrastructure war and which are burning capital on thermodynamically impossible promises
- Noise Discipline – A cognitive defense system for operators drowning in vendor hype and social feed pollution
- The Workflow Thesis – The institutional AI risk isn't the model; it's the governance structure around it
REAL FAILURE ANALYSIS
- Spokane Transit's navigation disaster (when AI routing meets physical infrastructure)
- Amazon's hiring tool bias (when optimization encodes discrimination)
- Enterprise AI budget hemorrhage (why boards are renting Ferraris to drive through swamps)
ACCESS TO OPERATORS WHO KNOW
- Col. Kathy Swacina (USA Ret.), CIO of Sherpawerx, on Project Cerebellum
- Jasher Cox, Director of Regional Development at Notre Dame, on institutional change and leadership under pressure
- Paul Wilson Jr., CEO of Paul Wilson Global Solutions, on purpose-driven strategy in rigged systems
─────────────────────────────────
WHO THIS SERVES
- Federal IT directors managing AI procurement in older systems
- University CIOs deploying autonomous systems across campus operations
- Enterprise strategists trying to separate vendor promises fro actual capabilities
- Policy analysts writing governance rules for systems they did not design
- Government contracting leaders who need clear guidance
─────────────────────────────────
WHO I AM
I'm Dr. Tuboise Floyd. I spent 15+ years inside and around large institutions—federal contracting, higher education, enterprise systems—quietly fixing broken infrastructure and studying why the same failures kept repeating.
BACKGROUND
- Federal Operations – Technical strategy and program management supporting federal IT modernization, where outages and bad data have real-world consequences
- Enterprise Resilience – Led large-scale systems migrations (7,000+ user ERP deployments), disaster recovery design, and COOP planning for complex networks
- Systems Research – PhD level work on how institutions adapt to or reject new structural controls, so governance becomes something people follow instead of route around
I built Human Signal because I kept watching institutions deploy AI without the governance infrastructure to survive the deployment. The gap between vendor promises and operational reality kept destroying institutional capacity, and nobody was documenting the pattern.
─────────────────────────────────
WHY I AM ASKING
After leaving institutional work I made a choice. I decided to build Human Signal as independent research infrastructure instead of taking the safe path of corporate strategy consulting vendor partnerships or selling access to my federal network.
That independence matters because the people I analyze are often the same vendors and institutions that would pay me if I took that path. If I take their money the analysis bends. If I paywall the work the mid level operators who actually need the signal lose access.
Independence has a burn rate. Right now I am covering production costs and basic living expenses entirely from savings and that money has a countdown timer.
I am asking for six months of runway because that is the minimum window to:
1. Stay independent while I finish Season 2 and the first set of visual playbooks
2. Build advisory and speaking work that aligns with the mission instead of distorting that mission
3. Prove that independent institutional AI analysis can sustain without vendor capture
Your support does not fund a hobby. That support buys time for work that is already in use by operators and keeps that work from being owned by the same systems we critique.
─────────────────────────────────
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT FUNDS
IMMEDIATE NEEDS (Survival)
- Six months of basic living expenses while I build sustainable income streams
- Production costs (editing, hosting, research subscriptions, recording equipment)
- Health insurance continuation
- Time to say "no" to consulting work that would compromise editorial independence
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT (Growth)
- Visual strategy briefs and playbooks (currently delayed due to cost)

THE HONEST TRUTH
The public internet is a noise engine. Human Signal is a signal processing facility for the Builder Class.
For 12 episodes across two seasons I have provided clear strategy for professionals navigating AI deployment inside government agencies universities and enterprise systems. I have created original frameworks like the LEAC Protocol and Noise Discipline. I have interviewed a retired Army CIO a Notre Dame director and federal contractors. I have documented real institutional failures and built tools that organizations use today.
Right now I am running on savings and the clock is running out. Without immediate funding Human Signal stops publishing.
I am raising $4000 dollars to fund core production needs and survival for the next phase. This money buys the exact runway needed to turn this work from a side project into a self sustaining operation.
The Builder Class is already stepping up. We have raised 1375 dollars from 27 early backers. That shows this network trusts the mission and values the leverage provided here.
When you fund this campaign you are not just making a donation. You are buying leverage. You are ensuring the operators who build the future have the signal they need.
─────────────────────────────────
WHAT YOU GET
Every supporter gets access to all Human Signal output as it's produced:
- Weekly episodes (free, public, but you're sustaining them)
- Visual briefs and playbooks (supporter early access)
- Framework documentation (L.E.A.C. Protocol, Noise Discipline, Workflow Thesis)
- Case study breakdowns and failure analysis
- Behind-the-scenes research notes and episode development
No tiers. No paywalls. Contribution level determines how long the work continues, not who gets access.
$25 = One week of production costs covered
$100 = One episode fully funded (editing, hosting, research time)
$500 = One month of basic survival expenses
$1,000+ = One month of survival + infrastructure development
Every dollar extends the timeline. Every contribution sustains the signal.
$4000 dollars covers immediate production costs and living expenses while I transition this platform into a permanent business.
Donate today to keep the signal alive.
─────────────────────────────────
THE STAKES
If this campaign succeeds:
- Human Signal continues through at least mid-2026
- Visual playbooks and strategy briefs get built
- I have time to develop advisory/consulting work that complements the mission
- Independent institutional AI analysis survives long enough to prove it can be sustainable
If it fails:
- I take whatever consulting work pays, regardless of editorial conflicts
- Production slows or stops as I prioritize income over research
- The frameworks remain incomplete
- Operators lose an independent voice right when institutional AI deployment is accelerating
─────────────────────────────────
WHY NOW
AI deployment is accelerating across institutions right now. Federal agencies, universities, and enterprises are making procurement and governance decisions that will shape the next 5-10 years.
Most of the analysis they're hearing comes from:
- Vendors selling the tools
- Consultants paid by the vendors
- Compliance frameworks that look good on paper and collapse under workforce pressure
Human Signal exists because operators need analysis that starts from physics, examines real failure modes, and provides implementable frameworks—not whitepapers designed to sell software.
But that independence requires someone willing to say "no" to the lucrative vendor consulting work. And right now, I'm that someone—barely.
I'm asking for six months to prove this can work.

HOW TO SUPPORT
Contribute at any level:
- Share this campaign with institutional operators in your network
- Forward Human Signal episodes to colleagues navigating AI procurement
- If you're in a position to hire for consulting/advisory work, reach out
- If you know organizations that need AI governance strategy, make an introduction
Every contribution sustains the signal. Every share extends the timeline.
Season 2 is live. The work is landing. Help me keep it running.
