Friends & Family of the McParland's Fund

Calling all friends & family of Steve McP & the McParlands!!   


While we know it’s been a long and winding few months for everybody out there, this page has been created for our dear friend and everybody’s favorite Mick Jagger double, Steve McParland, who along with his family have had a particularly difficult and unfortunate 2020. We are thinking particularly of the McParland family at this moment.   

Having only recently gotten over the painstaking battle with New York Rising, while also dealing with contractor fraud, to reconstruct and settle back in to their family home after 8 years since the devastating and expensive damage of Hurricane Sandy, which misplaced the McParland’s from their beloved home in Baldwin Harbor.  It is safe to say that this has been a difficult time which they have pulled through with strength as a family unit. Unfortunately, our neighborhood friends who have been there for us all through the years now have another battle on their hands during these tough times. As we all know Steve McParland was recently involved in a car accident and hospitalized. He is stable, and the family thanks everybody for their messages and outpouring of love and support and his wife Carol will be relaying these messages to him in time, as his confusion from the trauma of the accident subsides. He is currently speaking, even singing, but is still showing some signs of memory loss and confusion.   


The purpose of this page is for friends to come together on behalf of the family, if at all possible and in the absence of a public gathering or benefit gig, in order to chip in for some of the unforeseen medical and family expenses arising out of these situations. As is so often the case, and especially now due to covid-19 financial difficulties being felt by everybody, a situation like this can cause a lot of financial weight to bear, and as friends we believe that shouldn’t be the burden of the family members at this time. There have been countless friends reaching out asking how Steve is doing and if theres anything that can be done to help. All we ask is that you spare a thought and, if at all possible, a small donation to cushion these already tough times. We are fully aware that the current economy has impacted everybody, but based on the amount of friends who care and have been asking about our buddy Stevie, we’re hoping the law of large numbers will make a big difference here if we could all chip in even a small amount. 


So, whatever you can do is more than enough, and thank you in advance!
