Hunger Relief for the San Bushmen in Namibia
Donation protected
I am looking for funds to feed 50 San families in the North East of Namibia. Tsumkwe is a very remote village on the edge if the Kalahari desert. The local population is almost entirely reliant on tourism. Since COVID 19 the tourist industry in Namibia has collapsed. Our plan is to feed the families for 3 months. Ultimately we would like this campaign to be ongoing until such time as the crisis is over. We are, myself, Lily Taylor from Travel2Africa and Mr Gerry Kwe, the chairman of the Nyae Nyae Conservancy. All the funds will go towards food and the transport necessary to get it there. In distributing food we will be engaging the local population to help us. This gives them an opportunity to earn a little money as well.
I believe that, together, we can make a difference and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution.
