Difficult times are times to come together. My friend “Tati” is used to being the helper. I know it because I have personally woken her up at 11 pm asking for help. She never says “no”. Now, she needs help, and she needs it badly. Her home got on fire, and she lost almost everything. I say almost everything because thanks to her Cuban roots and her amazing mother, she saved some of her clothes after countless washing loads to get rid of the smoke smell. She had to move with her parents and she started the long wait of dealing with home insurance. She is also going to school to become a nurse in addition to working full time. I remember my time as a nurse student and I swear that if this had been me, I would have lost my mind. Nursing school is challenging as it is, imagine dealing with her situation as well. Coming home and finding that everything you have is now gone is an indescribable feeling. While she is grateful to be alive, she also knows that the road ahead is not an easy one. She is also suffering from panic attacks now because years ago she suffered burn injuries in over 25 % of her body. Tiempos dificiles son tiempos para unirnos. Mi amiga "Tati" siempre ha estado para ayudar. Lo se porque yo personalmente la he despertado a las 11 pm pidiendole ayuda. Ella nunca dice "No". Ahora, es ella quien necesita ayuda. Su casa se incendio, y ella perdio casi todo. Y decimos casi todo porque gracias a sus raices cubanas y su maravillosa madre ella salvo algunas piezas de ropa que ha lavado muchas veces para quitarle el olor a humo. Ella se mudo con sus padres temporalmente y esta en espera de lo que el seguro decida. En estos momentos ella esta asistiendo a la escuela de enfermeria la cual es bastante dificil, imaginese encima tener que lidiar con esta situacion. Llegar a su casa y encontrar que has perdido todo es algo que no tiene precedente. Ella esta agradecida que no hubo perdidas humana, pero a la vez el camino por delante es dificil. En estos momentos ella esta sufriendo ataques de panico porque anos atras ella sufrio quemaduras del 25% de su cuerpo. Si usted cree que puede ayudar a alguien que siempre ha ayudado a otros, por favor extienda su apoyo.
