Thank you taking the time to read this page. This is the second GoFundMe (GFM) page for Teena Friend and her family. The first page, From Friend to FRIEND, is still active (**the entirety of those funds have been used for medical bills**), but since the initiation of that page, Teena’s circumstances have changed.
As of June 5, 2018, Teena has been receiving hospice care, first at a center, and now at home. To receive hospice services in Delaware means that doctors have certified through medical records and diagnosis that a patient has six months or less to be with us.
Teena longs to spend her time with her family making lifelong memories. Through the generous effort of lifelong friend, Krissy Smith and a GFM page she created, A Beach Trip to Remember, the Friends were able to spend five days in Ocean City, Maryland, making those memories.
Through this second GFM page, the hope is that funds donated will be used for multiple purposes: paying mountainous medical bills, going on short getaways to create loving family memories, and to be put towards savings funds for her three children.
If you know Teena in any way, you know that she has lead a life of giving to others. Her work as a nurse and as an active member of her church are just two examples of this. She is a staunch supporter of her family and friends in many ways – emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Her faith is a huge part of who she is and she has relied on her faith in God to see her through her illnesses and now through this journey in hospice. She continues to read His word and live His word each day.
