Hi. Many people know of my dad’s medical problems, starting from a botched procedure in 2004 leading to 7 months in the hospital, heart attacks, and colon cancer. Medically, he has been through hell and back. And now he is going back again. His colon cancer has spread to his liver and lymph nodes. He has nodules in his lung and liver. Biopsy has confirmed it is cancer. They are considering it to be stage 4.

We are working to get him referred to MD Anderson in Houston, his oncologist agrees with that referral. They have some of the best cancer doctors and have more treatment options. Cancer has just ravaged our family in recent years. If accepted, we will have many flights, hotels, and every other travel expense. My parents both are on fixed incomes aside from dad’s job at Leo’s bringing in a little extra. They make only a little more than they need to pay their bills, so even without the referral, this diagnosis is devastating on finances. Any help would be appreciated. We will update on the referral. Many prayers are also appreciated. And if you see my parents around, they might need a hug and kind words. We aren’t going to give up on this battle for him. He’s had miracles before.

UPDATE! Today Dad was accepted at MD Anderson! His first appointment is May 22 and he will be there for several days. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We could get the plane tickets without stressing where the money was going to come from. I’m joining but paying my own way. There are going to be many more trips I’m sure!
