4 teen age girls in foster care and 4 adult volunteer mentors are heading on a week-long canoe expedition into the Boundary Water Canoe Area of MN this summer for a professional style wilderness life changing experience.  I was a professional backcountry wilderness instructor for 13 years and have been blessed to watch lives deeply impacted by the challenges and leadership opportunities during such an expedition.   I, along with 3 other adult mentors are volunteering our time to plan and lead this expedition for these youth in foster care.  These teens are part of a foster program in Minneapolis called Family Alternatives.  We are insured and have emergency support but need appropriate gear and food rations.

6-days of food rations for 8-people

Leadership Journals
Hired shuttle to and from BWCA boat launch
