In Loving Memory of Alexia

With a broken heart, I share that on July 9, 2025, our beloved Alexia passed away following a long, complex surgery—a challenge she faced with the same strength and grace that defined her entire life. She was just 16 years old, but in those 16 years, she radiated more light, love, and wisdom than many do in a lifetime.

Alexia was a beautiful soul—sweet, bright, brave, and endlessly kind. Her laughter was contagious, her curiosity boundless, and her smile could light up even the heaviest of days. Everyone who knew her felt the warmth of her spirit. She had a way of making people feel seen, loved, and understood.

Throughout this incredibly difficult journey, her mother, Perla, stood by her side every single day. She stepped away from work and put everything on hold to be with her daughter—through every hospital stay, every uncertainty, and every moment of hope. Her love never wavered.

Now, as Perla faces unimaginable grief, she is also left with overwhelming financial burdens—funeral expenses, essential living costs, and the toll of having paused her life to care for Alexia. It’s a weight no parent should have to bear alone.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden. Every donation, no matter the amount, is a way of showing love to Perla—and of honoring Alexia’s legacy. Your support means more than words can express.
