Liza Shanks from Kells Ballymena is taking on the whole 26.2miles at The Belfast Marathon

We at Mark Lynn CHD Foundation rely heavily on fundraising to help and support families with children/teenagers living with life long chronic illnesses/disabilities . 

Our charity provides support to families struggling with their child’s illness, we offer comfort by running our Happy Faces Club every fortnight throughout the year, Buddy days , we’re teenagers become involved with each individual child, learn about their illness, and help spread awareness about their needs, also we run event parties throughout the year, Easter, Halloween and our big Christmas special party, we also plan summer fun days, and this is all made possible by kind people who give up their time to fundraise

Living with a child/teenager with a chronic illness/disability is a 24/7 job, and can be such a lonely, stressful time, we offer as much support and care as possible to each individual family, financial assistance and support as some of these kids treatments can only be provided outside NI , which is such a shame, but we as a charity provide so much to each of our families. We are the only registered charity in Northern Ireland whom support all chronic illnesses, by this we mean No Cure

so I ask you all to please help support these guys taking on the marathon, we don’t ask you for a lot , every penny helps
