Earlier this year I submitted a paper abstract to a conference panel on the migration of refugees. Being who I am, I assumed I would not be chosen and when I was chosen I assumed there weren't a lot of participants. I was wrong in both assumptions. I still have only told a few people I know about this opportunity but those I have told have encouraged me make this possibility a reality.
As many of you may know these past few years have been pretty tough for me. I left my marriage and have been working to get my and my son's life on the right track. I believe that we are getting there but as a result I don't have a lot of extra cash. I definitely don't want to miss this opportunity though so I am following the advice of those wiser than me and reaching out to my friends, family and colleagues for support. Asking for support is not easy for me at all, in fact I created this Go Fund Me account over a month ago and it's taken me this long to get it going.
Please find below the link to the conference:
And here is the link to panel I have been invited to speak at. You will need to scroll down a bit to find my long and short abstract. Along the way you will see the other intriguing topics being covered:
Thank you everyone for reading this and for your support today and along the way.
