Nearly 3 years ago a dedicated ER nurse, mother of three, loving wife and daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury during a car accident. Shannan Baker Pichardo and our family are looking for a miracle and that might be possible with Hyperbaric Treatments.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) is a medical procedure that involves the patient being placed in a completely enclosed chamber in which the atmosphere is controlled and the patient is able to breathe pure 100 percent oxygen. This level exceeds atmospheric pressure. The hyperbaric process places oxygen in places within the body at a cellular level, and also where the circulation might be blocked. HBO therapy is not painful and it is not an invasive procedure.
These treatments are not covered by insurance and cost $500 each. It has been recommended that Shannan receive 30 treatments in an effort to help her heal.
