My beautiful and irreplaceable Mom has come to a very hard part of her journey. She has recently transitioned into hospice.
I am trying to honor her wishes and ensure that her final chapter is filled with dignity, peace, and love.
From day one, it has been just the two of us.
She was always the first phone call, the first to listen to me sing a new song, the unfortunate person who had to listen to me try to learn instruments long before it sounded ok to the ears.
She transformed Thrift store dresses into works of art for my performances, and she never hesitated to sit with someone—whether a neighbor or a stranger at a bus stop—until they felt better.
Due to her longtime struggles with Alzheimer’s no insurance company has ever agreed to represent her and so now this all falls to me.
If you can contribute, it would mean the world to us. Being able to give my mom a peaceful farewell when the time comes is the greatest gift I can offer her.
With gratitude,
Anna
