In loving memory of Edgard Nieves
Donation protected
On December 24, 2015 we lost a fiercely loyal and incredibly bright light due to an industrial accident as he was getting ready to leave work to enjoy Christmas with his family. Edgard Nieves was a Father, Husband, Son, Brother and an Air Force Veteran. He was a large part of so many lives, and, as a family, we know we are not alone in our mourning.
Ed was one of the funniest, kindest and most loving people I have ever known, so it is on Monica and their children’s' behalf that this was created. He left behind an incredible family and legacy that include his wife, Monica Redmond, and two sons, Jovan (age 7), and Noah (age 1). We have started this page to help Ed's family with the things that are to come.
Ed's family is going to need lots of love and support. We are asking all that can, to please help by donating. While funeral costs have been covered, many other expenses occur in tragedies like these. The gift you give today will allow and help Ed's family and loved ones to grieve without the stress of financial burdens. There are future things to consider such as, housing, transportation, the boys' education, an emergency that may arise, or a much loved skiing trip (one of Ed's favorite ways to spend time with his family).I know our community will rally for them. We are surrounded by the most kind hearted friends and neighbors. Times like this is what community is all about!
All donations will go straight to Monica, to help her and her sons during this time of tremendous loss. While Ed’s worker’s compensation and life insurance benefits will take care of some of the expenses, it takes time for those benefits to be processed. This is to assist with immediate needs to help Monica care for herself and their two sons.
There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the love, thoughts, and prayers from everyone that has reached out to us. Finally, to those who are willing, many THANK YOUs in advance for your donation.
