Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for my sister’s dog, Ripley, a sweet and loving 4-year-old dog who means the world to our family, especially my sister.

Ripley is more than just a pet — he’s family. From always being there for comfort to bringing joy and laughter into our lives every single day, this dog has the most gentle and loving soul. Seeing him in discomfort has been incredibly difficult for all of us.

Recently, Ripley started having difficulty breathing. X-rays showed that he had pleural effusion (fluid in his chest), making it difficult for his lungs to expand. Ripley was hospitalized and underwent a plasma transfusion because of initial concerns that he was having a clotting disorder. We now know that his clotting was not the underlying issue. Additional tests are needed to truly get to the bottom of what’s going on and hopefully begin the road to recovery. It is the hope of his family and medical team that a CT scan will provide us with the answers we need. The growing cost of his care is more than my sister can manage on her own. She has already done everything she can, but the expenses are adding up quickly.

We are asking for help with his veterinary bill so that Ripley can get the care he needs. Every donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward medical treatment, medications, and recovery care. Any money that is left after Ripley receives his care will go towards other pets in need. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.

Ripley’s update !!!

Wevwill be taking Ripley to Cornell Animal Hospital in Connecticut next Wednesday. The doctors there will give us a consultation carefully reviewing all the tests and treatments he has had as well as current medications! We are hoping a second set of eyes looking at Ripley will provide us with more clarity on his condition! Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated!
