For the Love of Pete
Dear friends, family and sympathizers alike,
Thank you for visiting this page. As many of you may have heard, our good friend Pete has been diagnosed with Stage IV Rectal Cancer after the alarming discovery of multiple tumors located in his rectum, bladder and spreading to his pelvic, chest, and clavicle lymph nodes. Despite this devastating news, Peter remains in good spirits and maintains a positive outlook as he gets ready to start the long and difficult battle with cancer. At this time, Pete is a patient at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and is currently receiving chemotherapy to help shrink the tumors with hope that the cancer can be controlled and someday surgery or other additional treatment will be an option.
Most of those who visit this page already know who Pete is and why we all love him so much. For those that find their way here through an acquaintance, co-worker, or some other connection, Pete is one of those rare kind of people that has a positive impact on whomever is lucky enough to be around him. Pete grew up in Yakima, WA and is a 37-year-old graduate of the University of Washington. He is a skilled carpenter who has helped build high-end homes in the Seattle area for years and an avid golfer. Pete is a husband, father, son, brother and friend and is SO special to us all in one way or another.
For those of you that have experienced or been touched by cancer you know this type of diagnosis effects more than just the patient. Pete is an incredible family man, an amazing dad to Shari (5 1/2) and Leo (3) and a loving husband to his wife Jessie. Pete’s diagnosis will undoubtedly impact his beautiful family and upended their daily life. This is where we come in…and we invite everyone to be a part of Pete's Posse.
Above all else, we ask for your positive thoughts and prayers for Pete, Jessie, and his family. However, if you are able, we ask that you consider a financial donation to the family during this time. Any donation would be greatly appreciated no matter how big or how small. Funds raised will be to ease the financial burden of out of pocket medical, loss of income and ongoing expenses associated with this ongoing treatment. Additionally, we will be getting Pete and Jessie hooked up with a meal delivery service and house-cleaner to help relieve some of the house-hold responsibilities, in hopes that Pete will be able to focus on beating the odds of this dreadful disease and enjoy the time he does have with Jessie and his kids. Please help us share his story and raise money to offset his growing expenses.
If you would like to spread the word, you can share this GoFundMe link via your email or on your social media pages. Thank you so much for your Love and support...for Pete's sake!
