I create this gofundme account with a heavy heart for Kara Khamo, the grand-daughter of my dear colleague, Mitzi Keaton.  Kara was the most courageous, sweetest, three-year-old angel that heaven gained on 4/26/17.  I was lucky enough to have met her about 3 weeks ago.  Mitzi shared Kara’s journey with me and I would be left in awe of this amazing little girl with a beautiful soul and fighting spirit.  Here is a little bit of background on Kara:   

On 1/2/16, Kara was admitted at Children’s Hospital Orange County where she was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer.  Her treatments required regular blood transfusions that left her tired and in pain, but she never lost her strength or spirit.  She was an inspiration to all fortunate enough to have met her.  Sadly, on 4/26/17, Kara decided it was time to go to heaven and left those who loved her devastated by her departure.
