MAKE A MOTHER’S DREAM COME TRUE!!!
On November 13, 2016 Kerla Ethel Fonkika ( ET) unexpectedly passed away following a brief illness. Ethel was born to Martin and Hermina Fonkika on April 3, 1974 in Cameroon and was a single mother to three boys, Fonkika Kwaje-ey Birnso, Tita Akom Fonkika (Toutou), and Tibensi Momnyuy Fonkika (Shiwan), the youngest of them who turns 5 this December!
Ethel was a confident and witty lady with a great sense of humour and a love for life. She was a genuine and brutally honest person with a humble heart. She was a fighter and always determined to solely overcome her challenges, as she would not want to bother anyone except in extreme cases. She was stoic, in the face of adversity because she believed she had to be strong for everyone; a trait which unfortunately caused many to often overlook her deeply sensitive soul. She was quite deep and philosophical and quickly understood her purpose in life. She turned her trials into opportunities for spiritual growth, which she used to inspire, encourage and educate us through her writings and way of life.
About two months ago she suffered from chronic gastritis, an illness which led to several other complications and eventually her demise.
She leaves behind three boys who meant the world to her. It was her dream to see her sons complete their education, get good jobs and survive the harsh reality of the African life. As a mother, she was very protective and would sacrifice everything just to see her kids live a better life.
Sadly, these boys just like their mom Ethel are orphans without their sole provider, the only one they had known and loved, the only one who shielded and protected them – their mother. Facing this painful reality is the most difficult thing for any child and these children need your urgent help. The plan is to use your donations to create a trust fund for these boys' education.
It is for this reason that we reach out to you about the plight of these motherless children to donate whatever you can for their education and subsistence.
On behalf of the Fonkika Family and Friends of Ethel,
I wish to express sincere gratitude in advance.
May God bless you and replenish your resources as you bless these children at this very time of dire need.
