No One Fights Alone
We cannot predict if and when cancer strikes, but we can help to improve the impact it has on those around us – particularly those that have have had a positive impact on our lives.
After a recent diagnosis of a very rare Stage Three Anal Cancer, our dear friend and co-worker, Angela Rosenberg, has gone on sick leave to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. Our understanding is that, it is one of the hardest forms of treatment (5FU treatments). Radiation will last 5 weeks, 5 days a week. Angela will be on sick leave for several months. Her diagnosis date is tentatively scheduled for March 21st, which is coincidentally Anal Cancer Awareness Day.
Angela’s health impacts the lives of many – most notably, her children and significant other. Angela is the mother of four young women. Karise, age twenty-eight, is Angela’s oldest child, currently attending Wayne State. Deven, turning twenty-two years old in mid-July, is Angela’s second child. Deven currently resides in Brazil. Shortly after Deven turns twenty-two, Angela’s third child, Jessica, will turn twenty years old. Jessica is a licensed cosmetologist. Maddison is Angela’s youngest child, spending most of her time completing high school and working a part-time job. Phil is Angela’s significant other. We would like to thank Phil for being by Angela’s side during this difficult time in her life.
In addition to all of the people that hold Angela close to their hearts, there are some animals worth mentioning as well. Angela is the owner of two dogs: Bubba and Chloe. Both are near and dear to her heart, making several appearances on Angela’s social media.
And for those of you that don’t know Angela, she absolutely adores her rooster and chickens.
Along with Angela’s family at home, her family at A.D. Transport is impacted by her diagnosis. Angela has influenced lives and the work environment at A.D. Transport far beyond what she could imagine – and for that, we cannot thank her enough.
As we all know, medical care for any diagnosis is costly. It is times like this that we should respond to the prosperity Angela brought into our lives, or the lives of our loved ones. It is days like today that we can help to improve the impact Cancer has on those around us, even if we don’t have much.
An English writer, Sydney Smith, once said, "It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little – do what you can.”
We thank you for your support.
