Hello everyone!
We are the Burkett family and we love to cook. Mine and my husband's dream is to have a food truck, I'm sure if you know us well, that's all we ever talk about. "Foodie" doesn't even begin to cover our love for food and cooking for others. The love we put into every home cooked meal is just the same as we put into our caterings. Our passion for cooking runs deep through memories of cooking with family members when we were children. We want our children to experience these memories with us, while we're running a business also. Daniel has been working in kitchens his whole life, working every position from dishwasher to running the entire kitchen as head chef, the man knows his way in this industry. The money will be used for the build out, licensing, and start up costs of our food truck. This number would cover everything and of course we're working hard on our end to sell the art business we already built from the ground up to chase our dreams of owning a food truck.
When we achieve this goal, it will mean everything to us. Honestly, I can't even imagine what that's going to feel like because we've wanted this for so long. To see the excitement radiating from our faces as our first customer comes to order... I hope someone is there with a camera!
Many people know that Daniel and I are go-getters, we don't give up. When we want something we will stop at nothing to achieve our goal but having help from our community versus just the two of us would turn this dream into a reality a lot sooner. We're really not even sure what to expect from using this site but I will say that ANY donation is appreciated and EVERY share is appreciated.
