Bring Food Back To Todd

As most of us who live in Todd know, our community is in a state of limbo. Currently, three food sources for the town are no longer available. At this time The Todd Mercantile Store, The Todd General Store and Riverside Restaurant will not be open or operating this season.

The people in Todd are craving for a place to connect, while enjoying food and our community. Those of us who are at River Girl Fishing Company feel like we are uniquely positioned, excited and able to address this need.

We see this as a community endeavor and are looking for your support and financial investment to make it happen.

Our immediate objective is to provide a selection of cold beverages, ready to go meals and snacks to our local community and the numerous visitors who make Todd their destination place for day trips, extended vacations and seasonal residences. In addition, creating a space where you can grab a cup of coffee or cold beverage, relax and recharge with new and old friends.

While being located in a historic train depot presents challenges, it’s also the perfect place for folks to gather. We need a number of upgrades to achieve our goal and remain a viable entity in Todd. Our hope is that with your help we can address this need of our community together. We need to upgrade our electrical system, obtain 3 approved grab and go refrigerators, shelving for packaged items and basic necessities to comply with the health codes in Ashe County.

Our basic goal is to meet the immediate needs of the 2023 season. Our dream is to use any profits to develop a quality space and viable long term solution for our community.
