Flynn says goodbye

Thanks to all the donors who donated to this fund and helped us cover the funeral costs and expenses to bring him home from Denver where he passed away. I have turned off donations as I don't think it would be right to continue to receive those donations, but I wanted to leave the fundraiser open for others to see my son's story. We miss him more than anything. Thank you for your generosity and support during this difficult time.
UPDATE:
Flynn passed away from his heart defect late Wednesday night. We were able to get our final moments with him in a hospice, in a cozy bed, on a pillow, sleeping, with his Mama. He went in peace and comfort and got to have time with his family in his last moments. Thank you to everyone who has been here with us.
Flynn Maxim Thompson has a rare heart defect that after a long surgery and 4 months in the Intensive Care Unit, we have found out that our son's heart is very sick.
After a 12 hour surgery and failed kidney's, my son's heart will no longer be able to work long enough for him to live a very long life.
He has lived the last four months of his life in the Intensive Care Unit.
After many long and hard discussions, we have decided as a family to take Flynn off of dialysis, because his kidney's have no chance of recovery, take him back to his home, as he was being seen by specialists in another state, give him what he needs to be comfortable, try and give him the best final days we can, and say goodbye to our son...
When he will go to sleep for the last time and be gone from us forever.
He has been so loved that our family is heartbroken and torn apart knowing we have to say goodbye to our angel.
If you can help us get through this difficult time, we would be grateful for your kindness to help us grieve.
