I have a story to tell you.

There’s a home in Pompano Beach Florida where the yard has been completely overgrown.

A house where the roof is leaking going on four years now. The homeowner, an active part of the community for 43 years, always helping others that have less. Saving dogs,cats and people always best they can. Let’s “Pay It Forward”.

They are dealing with a serious health issue and old age and haven’t been able to keep up with anything at all for some time now. So a few members of the community went over, knocked on the door, and ended up spending a long time talking with The lady.

Monica has spent her whole life working and helping others. For many years now, just hasn’t been funds to pay the bills of the home,buy groceries etc. and also fix the home so it has gone into disrepair. Countless area programs have been applied for. Calls out for Help went to the city,the county,state,the governor’s office even the White House had letters written to no avail. Sleep is hard to come by with all this worry and pain, physical, emotional, spiritual, etc..

We’ve all been there, knots in your stomach, wondering what to do? The anxiety and depression through the roof, no pun intended.

On top of that, She hasn't been able to work much since becoming disabled and the house has fallen behind because of it.

Volunteers spent a full day out there, sun up to sun down, cutting down trees and piling entire loads of greenery. Whilst we we were talking, Monica mentioned the things she can't get to and can't afford. Her roof has been leaking every time a storm comes through. In south Florida that is usually daily.

A huge limb came down and destroyed part of the roof and home. All of it has been pushed to the side for years because there just hasn't been money or a body able to do the work.

Monica never asked me for any of this. She the kind of person who spends time helping other people and doesn't want anyone helping her. This is an emergency situation however. When I told her I wanted to start a fundraiser to get these repairs taken care of, she was stunned.

That's what this fundraiser is for. Every dollar raised here goes toward:

Replacing her leaking roof

Repairing and replacing other portions of home damaged by trees and rainstorms.

Any remaining repairs on the home she hasn't been able to get to.

We're doing this through nonprofit, Pay It Forward, built to go beyond the yard work and take care of the things people genuinely can't take care of themselves.

We humbly ask for your urgent attention. We have received a few estimates however,none are feasible to go forward with at this time.

It would mean the world if you could find it in your hearts to support us at this time. Monica and the dogs are ever so grateful. No amount is too small. We ask the community to come together now.
