FlatIron Code School Tuition
Whoa! I've just been accepted into an immersive online code school geared toward helping me become a ruby developer with a real job in the next six to nine months. ZOMG!
I'm floored. I applied to FlatIron code school because of their great rating on coursereport.com and because of personal recomendation from a blogger I've been following as I learn to make sense out of code and web development. Their curiculum is the most comprehensive and on target for development jobs that I've seen offered online, and I've been looking. They also have a really exceptional clause- they have a guaranty to assist me with job placement after the course is finished.
The last six months have seen me studying on my own and getting my feet underneath me in the code and tech world. It's been a bit rocky, but with the help of many sincere friends who've already worked their own way into that stary realm, I've continued to slog through the basics. Now that I've worked through code academy and many, many hours of MVA I thought I might be ready to apply to a more structured program. After a very through interview and a long wait I received word today!
Now that I've been accepted, I need to figure out a way to pay for my incredible opportunity to improve my life from here on out and earn a decent living. Tuition is only 1000 a month with a lifetime cap of 8000. Seeing as I've only recently gotten myself an above board job as a part time photographer within the last month- this seems impossibly far away. My living expenses are low, but I'm also not making much on commission selling photo packages to new families, about 800 a month- gross. =/
Do you think I can do this thing? I do- and I'll have a way higher chance of success if I have the support of my friends and community.
Please donate a couple bucks and share this with other folks who might be able to appreciate my bootstraping. =)
