Five 4 Justice Fundraiser and 5K
Donation protected
Realizing we have power in numbers, friendships and industry connections, friends of the entertainment ad community have come together to do our part in helping to eradicate racial injustices – big and small – that continue to seep into our communities and society.
We've organized Five 4 Justice – a virtual 5k fundraiser supporting Color of Change , the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. They lead campaigns that build real power for Black Communities. They hold corporate and political leaders accountable, commission game-changing research on systems of inequality, and advance solutions for racial justice that can transform our world.
Together, our 12 Los Angeles-based media agencies represent every major theatrical studio and streaming business, with additional offices across the nation to boot, who are supporting our efforts here in LA. Our goal is to have this campaign reach far and wide (something we're all pretty good at!)
How it works?
- Our suggested entry fee for the “race” is $50 – but we welcome all donations above and below that line – every dollar matters.
- On August 1st, we will all run/walk/jog 3.1 miles as a sign of solidarity for the Black community. There are no bibs, no medals, no real competition – just a media community coming together to create meaningful change.
- In addition to the suggested entry fee, we’ll be looking for racers to reach out to their friends, family, and business peers for any additional donations.
- On race day, we hope everyone will post pictures of their run/walk with the hashtag #Five4Justice, so we can see our love and support in virtual action.
As media planners, buyers, sellers and negotiators, we all know one thing – money talks! And while we’re all normally duking it out at the box office, or battling for the number one streaming program – we’re excited to put our gloves down on 8/1 and come together for a meaningful cause.
So mask up! And join us on August 1st. Let’s show everyone how good we are with money and the power of persuasion when it truly counts.
