Ahmad Brewington

My name is Aj Merriman and I had the pleasure of knowing Ahmad “Brew”Brewington . Brew can be described many different ways for many different things his smile could change the energy in a room , his guidance and trust made people feel unstoppable. Brew was a mentor, student athlete, Social and agricultural activist planning many events here at Guilford College . He was a friend to “strangers” which he didn’t know what that word meant because he had a way of knowing and connecting with people he had never met. In planning this event I asked people to describe Brew in one word I got responses of Intelligent ,funny, compassionate and welcoming. If I had to describe him in one word it would simply be “Brother “ .In the short amount of time I had a chance to have Brew in my life he was a shield and safe haven ,a big brother . Like no one or anything could touch me because I had him right beside me. The confidence and love he shared with me everyday still is with me 730 days since the last time we were together. Everyday I’m still impacted by the legacy Ahmad Brewington left on this Earth . Until we meet again I will continue to honor him the best way I know how . By uplifting my community and spreading the lessons he left me.

the money I raised from this fundraiser will be helping me get Ahmad a memorial /headstone to honor an amazing friend and all the lives he touched. Thank you for any and all donations .
