Fitch Family- Home Fire Recovery
Donation protected
I received a text message from my older brother at 5am this morning saying that they safely evacuated at 4:30am, as their home of 16 years burned. They are grateful to have escaped, grateful for the fire fighters and to family and fiends who are supporting them through this tragedy.
The fire started in the front of the home, and the cause it still unknown. Sommer woke before the fire alarm, allowing them enough time to get the children out safely. They evacuated without any belongings, including shoes and underclothes. They were able to get the dogs out safe. Their family chinchilla was still in the house, and the whereabouts of their two cats are unknown.
I am creating this GoFundMe to support my brother, Andrew Fitch, his wife, Sommer, their three boys and their pets. Their home burned and they need financial support to secure housing, purchase essentials and begin to clear and rebuild their home.
Andrew is a teacher and coach. Sommer works at her church, and is known for her community support. They are long-time residents of Smith River and Crescent City.
Want to help? This fundraiser will be a huge support for Andrew, Sommer, Westyn, Zander, and Grayson.
Thank you so much for giving what you can, and for sharing this fundraiser on all your social media outlets.
