Support a small non-profit establishing a museum.

Tax deductible
Help establish the 1st Buffalo Soldier museum in the state Maryland. The museum will honor the Buffalo Soldier who purchased and lived on the property but will also share the broader Buffalo Soldier history that has largely been overlooked. The first home that was built by the soldier was lost to a mysterious fire in the 1960s after he had died. The replacement dwelling is now in disrepair. Our small non-profit wants to replace it with a museum to celebrate the history of the Buffalo Soldiers. The finished museum will be called an Outpost. A walking trail (Hattie's Trail) has already been established. Educational programming such as presentations, demonstrations, exhibits, etc. and culturally authentic works of art are proposed for the museum in a community where gentrification is leading to the demise of the Black American footprint. The Outpost will be the first such site east of the Mississippi with a focus on Buffalo Soldiers and the integral role they played in America's quest for westward expansion beginning in 1866. Consider helping us bring this dream to a reality. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that will go a long way in raising up champions who fought racism in their villages and in service to this county. This site will ultimately mean so much to descendants of other Buffalo Soldiers who hailed from the eastern regions of America and enlisted in the U.S. Regular Army shortly after the Civil War ended. Those ancestors desired to leave the shackles of prejudice behind, even though their dreams to be treated with dignity and respect were still beyond what they could envision while executing their assigned tasks with humility as Black men enlisted in the U.S. Regular Army.
