My name is Cynthia Peel.  I'm raising money for my friend, Nicole Harmon, to get a needed motorized attachment for her wheelchair.  The Firefly Electric Handcycle would snap onto her wheelchair and allow her to be more mobile and better keep up with her busy son and his activities.

Nicole was a very athletic young lady.  She was a star basketball player in highschool.  Just after high school, Nicole attended Crafton Hills College.  One day, on her way to school, her car was run off the road into a deep ravene.  She was paralyzed from the waist down in that tragic event.

She recovered the best she could and later met and married her sweetheart.  They hoped for a child, but didn't think it possible, until a miracle happened and Nicole became pregnant with Micah.  They were happy and all set to live a wonderful life together.  Until a short time later, tradgedy struck again.  Micah's father suddenly died from health complications.  Nicole was left to raise their son alone.

Now, Nicole is a disabled widow and a single mother. Nicole is a survivor and has overcome some amazing challenges in life, and she remains a beautiful and loving person.  She has a great attitude and tries to stay positive for Micah. She works hard and is trying to get a better education to prepare herself for a new career that is more suited to her lifestyle. Though Nicole still really struggles financially.

They have just enough to get by.  Nicole never has any money to spend on herself.  Her car is in disrepair, so getting around can be difficult.  She came trick-or-treating with us on Halloween and it was very hard for her to get up and down the many hills here in Yucaipa.  I've also seen her many times out at the park with Micah trying to keep up with him.  A motorized wheel on her chair would help her immensely. 

She needs many things, but she recently expressed a desire for this wheelchair attachment.  I think she thought it would be a dream.  She is the last person to ask for something for herself.  She is always so concerned with doing things for Micah.  So I want to make this dream come true for her.  She deserves to have something to make her life easier. 

Please help me raise enough money to buy the Firefly handcycle for her wheelchair.  We only need $2323.  That's $1950, plus tax and shipping and the transaction fees for this gofundme account.
