On October 31, 2021, six homes were burnt down as a result of a domestic dispute in Suva, Fiji. Fire was set to one home and due to high winds, the neighboring homes caught on fire and 6, innocent, families lives were changed forever - See Government Facebook link below.
As most may know, the island of Fiji does not have access to the resources, funds, and materials needed to rebuild easily. I reached out to the families and they told me that the Government only gave them $1000.00 each, which is enough for them to buy clothes and food, but it can not build their homes. I am humbly asking for your assistance in building back these 6 homes. These families are left with nothing and they need our generosity to build their home back before the rainy season starts. They are sheltering with family members but they need a lot of help from people like you and me. I am hoping that you will be willing to make a generous donation so that we can build all the 6 homes for them before Christmas.
I have also reached out to the Habitat for Humanity Fiji and they told me that they do not have funds available but they are willing to provide manpower to rebuild these homes. I am told that a simple 3 bedroom home will cost between $50-60KFJD/ $35K USD.
