Please see updates for updated info. Just had my second major surgery with in 8 months. I really need financial help please. Every little bit helps.
Hi, I'm Stephanie. I am starting a fundraiser for my husband Chris who has congestive heart failure stage four. It all started back in November of 2018. He Had a job doing shrubs for about 8 hours that day and he developed some chest pain. Chris being Chris said  he just pulled a muscle and kept on working, seven hours later he was in the hospital. They said If he waited another minute he would have been dead. They took him to his room where he had another heart attack. They finally got him stable. He had trouble breathing immediately after a stint was placed. Which this above took months to get under control and he still was not in good shape. Chris was not able to leave the hospital until he got a life-vest, he finally got his life-vest and was able to leave, mind you at this point he has lost 40 pound and is a twig. He got pneumonia for the first time in his life and had it 3 times since. Since the start of this he has been filling up with fluids, he was not able to get it under control and he was turning blue and grey and drowning in his own fluid. He was picked up and taken to the hospital where he had 7.5 liters in his lungs, they gave him some iv-lasix to get it under control and three days later it was finally under control. While all this is going on, he still has a life-vest three months later he was finally able to get a pacemaker/defibrillator. At that point they took him to get a echo to see how his heart was doing and they came back with an ejection fraction of 15 to 20 %. It was disappointing to find out his ejection fraction has dropped another 5% so its now at 10 to 15%. He was under the impression that his heart could get better, sadly its only gotten worse. With Chris not being able to work and me needing to be their for him we are on a down hill spiral.
Chris is down to two treatment options:  An Lvad (which is a heart pump) A bridge to a Heart Transplant!
Chris only being 48 years young, he has 2 boys and myself. Chris is loving, caring and does his best to do things for people without charging them, he has the best personality and I believe that's what keeps him going. (he's funny) best man I ever met. He takes care of my boys and always try's to give them the best advice he can and help them in anyway he can.   We honestly need help with bills and medical. One of Chris's worries is we can't pay bills, hotel fees from Gainesville, gas , rent and complete surgeries needing to be done. ( in his eyes, how can we do these procedures knowing we can't afford to pay normal bills missing work)
