Triplets Fight Cancer for Third Time

Hi my name is Shelly Sommer and I am a single mom to 10 year old triplets, Logan, Xavier and Shelby-Jae. We have been fighting Leukemia since 2017.

On March 6th 2017 at the age of 4 Xavier was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia he was high risk for relapse so went through intensive treatment for almost 4 years. In 2019 Logan was diagnosed with the same cancer, B-Cell AALL. On October 2, 2022 Logan was celebrating his one year off treatment anniversary. Two weeks later on October 18,2022 Logan relapsed. His cancer is back and our world has been turned upside down again. Although Shelby-Jae hasn't had a cancer diagnosis she has felt the effects and fought just as hard as her brothers.

As I mentioned I am a single mom and the sole provider for my babies. My mother has come to our rescue from Florida and she takes care of Xavier and SJ so that I can be in the hospital with Logan.

Logan has been in the hospital for about 90 of the last 105 days. With extended hospital stays I am no longer able to work full time. We have a lot of unknowns ahead of us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
