This is Ron DeFreitas - Husband, father, grandfather, IT professional in the local school system,  Founder / Executive Director of the Reel American Heroes Foundation, friend to many, and soon-to-be cancer survivor. 

Ron was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer in April of this year.  As part of his preparation for surgery, which occurred on June 3rd, Ron was sent to meet with a primary care physician for a routine check up and was found to have Type 2 Diabetes. 

As as you can imagine, even with health insurance, testing and treatment for the two medical conditions is costly. This page was created to help lessen the financial burden and stress of his ongoing journey so he can focus on healing.

As many of you know, Ron has dedicated his life over the past five years to the Reel American Heroes Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to get our nation's wounded heroes out on the water for recreational therapy. He has helped thousands of warriors ease the stress of their own medical treatments over the years.  

With all the good he does for others, let's all rally together and do some good for Ron.
